Last month, we wrote in our blog about how CBR Bearing differentiates itself from other bearing companies by our excellent customer service. We really do take the time to help our customers in any way we can—by answering their emails in a timely manner, and by getting them the ceramic hybrid ball bearings they need as soon as possible and for an affordable price.
Recently, we were contacted by Bryan R., who was looking for a very specific bearing for a Honda distributor. Unfortunately, the Nachi brand part he needed is no longer being imported into this country, so we were unable to get it for him. However, we did direct him to another website, where we had seen them being sold in the past.
We felt bad that we were unable to help Bryan out with this particular bearing, but what happened next really surprised us. We got a return email from Bryan that praised us for the help we did provide.
The email started by saying, “So many reasons why I will use CBR next time I have a bearing need…”
He then listed the reasons why CBR is now his bearing company of choice:
- You responded NEXT day!
- You responded even though you knew you wouldn’t get a sale!
- You pointed me in the right direction to find the bearing I need.
- You clearly know your bearings based on this odd ball 12.46mm bore size.”
As we read on, it just confirmed to us that the customer service we provide really is unique in our industry. Bryan said, “I’m just thoroughly impressed by your customer service and applaud you for it. I’m building a project car and so many responses from other parts companies are either non-existent or surface-level, seemingly automated responses. I’m just an individual who wanted a single bearing and you still took the time to inform me. Thanks so much.”
Other bearing companies might see someone like Bryan as not worth their time. After all, he was only looking for one bearing, and it was one we don’t sell. But for us at CBR, it never crossed our minds to not respond to his email, or to not even try to help. We want to give every customer and potential customer our best, regardless of how much business they give us, or could potentially give us. It’s just the right thing to do.
Brian concluded his email by saying that he is “Referring [CBR Bearing] to anyone with a bearing need.”
